How to determine Pitch:
The most reliable method for determining the pitch of a chain is to measure the center-to-center distance between the pins on a single link of chain.
#25 Chain (1/4'' Pitch):
The most common size of chain used on electric scooters.
8mm Chain or T8F Chain (5/16'' Pitch):
The most common size of chain used on 2-stroke gas scooters and gas pocket bikes. Also used on some electric scooters, mini choppers, ATVs, and dirt bikes.
Single Speed Bicycle Chain (1/2" Pitch):
This is 410 chain, also known as standard single speed bicycle chain. It is also called 1/2" x 1/8" chain. It is commonly found on electric bikes.
420 Chain (1/2" Pitch, 5/16" Roller Diameter, 1/4" Roller Width):
This chain is used on pit bikes, full-size scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, and dirt bikes.
428 Chain (1/2" Pitch, 0.335" Roller Diameter, 5/16" Roller Width):
This chain is used on pit bikes, full-size scooters, motorcycles, ATVs, and dirt bikes.
